About Aeternum Photography

Memphis, TN, United States
Thank you for visiting my site. My name is Joyce Wright. I am a Christian, a wife and a mother to one and I own one dog. I am based in Memphis, TN. Aeternum, the name I chose for my business is Latin for eternal. Photography is my hobby and passion. My goal is to capture the special moments in life and the little things that define people. I love capturing real emotions, love, joy and anything that is natural and unique to each client. My interest in photography was mainly sparked when I purchased my first Nikon camera in 2007. My leisurely pursuit in photography now turned into my main hobby and addiction was further ignited when our little girl was born in 2009. As I clicked away trying to capture every special moment of her life, I realized that I have a medium that could be explored. My camera of choice is a Nikon. I love its features, quality and its ease of use. 2009 was the birth year of Aeternum Photography. I L-O-V-E what I do and it is my hope that you can join my photography client family.

Busy week

I know I missed last weeks before and after segment. I will post something soon. It has really been busy for me. A good kind of busy but busy non the less. This year I volunteered to work during the Bellevue Baptist VBS. I had a project to complete in preparation for VBS due tomorrow. VBS Camp Outrageous starts this coming week on Monday. I am go glad I am done painting 44 flags. Painting is not my strong suite but I got it done. I thank God that I was able to do it. Visit http://www.bellevue.org/data/vbs2010/index.html for more details. I am looking forward to working with kids. It has been 10 years since I last worked with kids aged 7-11.
I also had two family sessions last weekend. I worked this week on completing the wedding photo edits and creating their wedding video slide show. I am almost done editing for one family session. This week also happened to be the week that my computer decided to slow down. I am not complaining. I actually love it, except for the slow computer but it is nothing that cannot be fixed. Editing photos is the most timely behind the scenes phase in the photography process. I am very meticulous in my work so it probably takes me longer than others to edit. I like to say that I put a lot of love in my work. I strive to have all my clients happy. The joy they express after viewing their photos is the icing on cake for each photography process. It really makes my day when I get feedback.
I am so glad my husband is on vacation. He watched Elaina while I was hiding away at the library and focusing on working on the photos. She is a precious girl and I am one lucky mom. Today afternoon my hubby and I took her out to the children's museum to have a fun evening. I did not take any picture, thinking back I wish I carried my camera but we were so happy to step away from our busy world and focus on each other. I love family time.
