Every time I think of what it means to be a mother I think of my mother. She set a very high bar for all four of her daughters. One I hope to reach. She has lived a life of sacrifice from the first day she held her first daughter to the day she witnessed her last baby girl deliver her second grand daughter, Kylie. Her giving is unrelenting; her passion for life is unquenchable. She has a zest for living.
She is like an onion. She has so many layers which makes it hard to describe her in one sentence. If she were to be awarded for all the accolades she has accomplished in her lifetime the ceremony would be unending. She is UNSTOPABLE. This woman can find water in a dry dessert. She always made things happen even when others told her it is impossible. From the day she lay down in her death bed as a young teenage girl. When the doctor sent her home to die for there was nothing medically for them to do. Her faith was unrelenting and so was the faith of her parents. She recovered and has gone on to live a full life.
I am glad death did not cheat us out of a life with my mother. I have so many wonderful memories with her. Saying she sacrificed so much for us is a mere understatement. I cannot thank her enough. You are the best mother in the world.
Sure you made mistakes but what mother hasn't? You learned from them and you grew to be a much better person if that were at all possible. In my eyes you are a hero of some sort.
You have been my mother, father and friend. I admire the courage and determination you have. You bought my first pencil and my first ticket to the land of plenty. A land I met my sweet precious hubby. You loved him too despite of color or race. Even though you had every reason to hate white people due to what you witnessed first hand from colonization. But you always rise above hate, your love flows like a sink with no drain. Thank you for sending me off despite the fears every mom feels when they send their child to a far of land. America, a land that my daughter now calls home. I know it is hard for you to be apart from us, but I want you to know of a little secret, It is hard for us too. We think of you often and we always miss you. You are always at home in our hearts.
Happy mothers day to the one person who taught me how to be a loving, giving, sacrificing and determined mother. I love you.
About Aeternum Photography
- Aeternum Photography
- Memphis, TN, United States
- Thank you for visiting my site. My name is Joyce Wright. I am a Christian, a wife and a mother to one and I own one dog. I am based in Memphis, TN. Aeternum, the name I chose for my business is Latin for eternal. Photography is my hobby and passion. My goal is to capture the special moments in life and the little things that define people. I love capturing real emotions, love, joy and anything that is natural and unique to each client. My interest in photography was mainly sparked when I purchased my first Nikon camera in 2007. My leisurely pursuit in photography now turned into my main hobby and addiction was further ignited when our little girl was born in 2009. As I clicked away trying to capture every special moment of her life, I realized that I have a medium that could be explored. My camera of choice is a Nikon. I love its features, quality and its ease of use. 2009 was the birth year of Aeternum Photography. I L-O-V-E what I do and it is my hope that you can join my photography client family.
