About Aeternum Photography

Memphis, TN, United States
Thank you for visiting my site. My name is Joyce Wright. I am a Christian, a wife and a mother to one and I own one dog. I am based in Memphis, TN. Aeternum, the name I chose for my business is Latin for eternal. Photography is my hobby and passion. My goal is to capture the special moments in life and the little things that define people. I love capturing real emotions, love, joy and anything that is natural and unique to each client. My interest in photography was mainly sparked when I purchased my first Nikon camera in 2007. My leisurely pursuit in photography now turned into my main hobby and addiction was further ignited when our little girl was born in 2009. As I clicked away trying to capture every special moment of her life, I realized that I have a medium that could be explored. My camera of choice is a Nikon. I love its features, quality and its ease of use. 2009 was the birth year of Aeternum Photography. I L-O-V-E what I do and it is my hope that you can join my photography client family.

Isabella newborn session | Memphis Area Family Photographer

This girl is special in every way and has the most amazing parents. I hate that they moved to the east coast. I feel honored to have been their family photographer for all key aspects of their lives. I got to know them better through taking their family photos. I love you guys. I cannot wait to see you all some sweet day.
Did I mention they get gifts for the photographer? If that is not thoughtful, I do not know what is.

2011 Booked

This year Aeternum Photography has narrowed down the number of sessions we book.
Why?
We are focusing more on not just producing great images but we want to produce art. We envision our images displayed in your living room for years to come as a master art piece. We are always looking for new challenges that will get us to the next level. That is why we have decided to significantly reduce the number of clients we take per month. The blessing and danger in the abundance of clientele is the possibility of losing creative thinking and focusing on producing good images. We want more. We want great images. We purposefully edit each photo which equates to many hours locked away perfecting our clients images. We want to give each image the attention it deserves.

We are fully booked until the end of 2011. We are booking for 2012. If you are interested, we would love to work with you.

'G' Family sneak peak

There is something that you experience when you meet this family. That 'something' is love! It is in the way they look at each other, consider each other and tell each other. More to come about this loving family.

From a photography perspective, I am very happy to announce that my hubby is my full time assistant now. We finally bought the equipment we each can use and we are very delighted with the thought of working together. Here is some of his work.

Bridal Session | Memphis Wedding Photographer

This is my husband's first attempt at shooting a bridal portrait session with very little direction from me. I squeezed my self into my wedding dress (I was thrilled that I could fit in it) and off we went to practice. As aeternum we are always pushing ourselves to improve our craft. He did a fantastic job. I am glad to have a second photographer who is willing to sharpen his skills.

Shooting with a toddler around was tricky but she made it also very fun.

Congratulations Girlfriend

A friend, so dear to my heart is getting married next month. Several weeks ago we had her bachelorete party. It was an amazing night. I had the most fun I have had with friends this year. It was classy, elegant and super fun. Sorry I will not post photos of 'week amazing', but I will post a photo of the most stunning and breathtaking bride- to - be I have seen all year. She is beautiful in and out. I am honored to call you friend and I love you very much.

Mr & Mrs "T' | Memphis Family Photographer

I love the way they love each other. It is in the way they smile, talk and tease each other. They do not need to say "I love you" to know that they are in love. It was fun watching them interact with each other. I am so touched you chose my sweet little girl to be your flower girl.

Here is the long awaited post of their session. To see their sneak peak pictures click here.

'G' Family | Memphis Family Photographer

Kind, hard working, smart, thoughtful and oh...FUNNY are the adjectives that come to mind when I think of this family. They are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and well admired. Thank you for choosing me to capture special moments of your family. It is always a very huge compliment when you have returning customers. I am glad our lives have intertwined and a special friendship has blossomed over time.
